Non-destructive testing ultrasonic flaw detection test blocks for oil and gas pipeline inspection
Most of the test blocks for the installation inspection and in-service testing of the petroleum pipeline system projects were produced by our Shandong Ruixiang Mold Co., Ltd. These test blocks were researched, designed and manufactured by our company. For instance, the "West Gas to East Gas Transmission" project, which was called a "world-renowned grand project" by the national leaders and was also an important measure for implementing the Western Development Strategy, started construction in 2002. The pipeline was over 4,000 kilometers long and required numerous crossings and overpasses. Therefore, it was necessary to ensure the installation quality. The world's advanced "phased array detection technology" was introduced at that time to inspect the pipeline welds and improve the detection speed and accuracy. However, the design and production of the test blocks required for the equipment became the biggest challenge. They had to rely on imports from France, and the production cycle took two months. Our company was called upon to take on this arduous task. We traveled through the over 4,000 kilometers of pipeline and successfully completed the design and processing of the "phased array test blocks". Not only did we shorten the processing cycle to within two weeks, thus saving valuable time for the project, but we also designed and manufactured "phased array test blocks" and "AUT test blocks" for engineering inspections for "West Gas to East Gas Transmission Line II, III, and Shuanglan Line", "Indian Gas Pipeline", "China-Russia Mordvin Pipeline", and "China-Russia Natural Gas Pipeline". We made significant contributions to the construction of China's land-based gas pipelines. Our company has provided tens of thousands of test blocks for the "West Gas to East Gas Transmission Project" and saved the country over 30 million yuan in funds. This technology has also been extended to marine gas pipeline construction. Our test blocks have been applied in "Chunxiao Oil and Gas Project" and "Wenchang Pipeline Project", and in 2004, we cooperated with Ocean Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. to achieve "domestic design and application of AUT test blocks" and won the third prize.
With the development of the national economy, the trend of transporting oil and gas using tanker trucks is increasing. To ensure transportation safety, it is necessary to strictly control the inspection of oil and gas cylinders. The China Special Equipment Inspection Research Institute has set up a research base in our company. Together, they have conducted a large number of experiments on the flaw detection of oil and gas cylinders, designed and produced "long-distance transportation oil and gas cylinder flaw detection test blocks" for manufacturers, and have received full recognition and trust from customers.
After long-term use, the inner walls of long-distance pipelines will undergo corrosion. If not detected and eliminated in time, it may lead to oil and gas leakage or even explosion, posing extremely serious safety hazards. How to promptly identify and solve problems is a major issue in non-destructive testing. Our company participated in the pipeline research institute of Shengli Oilfield, and was involved in the 863 projects during the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" and "Twelfth Five-Year Plan". We conducted a large number of experiments in cooperation with the pipeline research institute of Shengli Oilfield and processed and produced sample tubes for non-destructive testing.
